Difference and application of PET and RPET

The difference between PET and REPT, first of all, from the source, PET is a kind of primary plastic, which comes from petrochemical raw materials. While RPET is a recycled plastic, which is made by recycling, cleaning, crushing, melting and re-granulating used PET products (mainly beverage bottles), so RPET will also have a special global recycling standard certification, referred to as GRS certificate. The difference in source also makes the price of PET and RPET very different. The raw material price of RPET is higher, and the unit price of the products produced will be higher than that of PET. In terms of performance, PET has stable performance, high strength and good transparency, and RPET performance is close to that of native PET, but its thermal stability may be slightly lower, so it usually needs to be mixed with raw materials to ensure its performance.
